All of these pictures are of Bailey. In some of the pictures you may see a small black dog, this was Ebby who was purchased at the same time as Bailey from the same breeder. Ebby went to live with a family in Salt Lake City when they accidentally backed over their poodle who was the very image of Ebby.
Bailey was purchased from a breeder and show dog trainer in Tremonton, Utah. He has several dozen poodles at all times and it was not easy picking out the best of the best, but I think I came out with an excellent little breeder. Bailey is a very friendly and loving dog. She likes strangers once she gets the chance to make sure they smell ok, you know how that is. She goes to anyone, does not struggle and only barks when she hears something unusual.
A little background on Mom: Bailey is 7 1/2 inches from the floor to the top of her shoulders. She weights 4.5 pounds and is very sturdy as small poodles go. The reason I mention this results from my experiences with a young poodle I had a couple of years back. Brittany was also born to one of my females and was a very healthy and active dog for the first year. However, she was very small, a third smaller than Bailey, and of very slight stature. One day, after getting excited while playing, she jumped from the back of our couch to the floor and broke her right front leg in two places. The vet who set her leg did a very poor job resulting in a very deformed leg. Though she was healthy, this accident caused her to directorate until eventually she passed away when her system just shut down. Our vet, after doing several tests, just could not determine what her problem was except that she was just to fragile to deal with her poor circulation, etc. You must be careful when purchasing your poodle or other small dog to make sure they are able to deal with normal activity. Small, frail dogs are not good for children or with other larger dogs. I think Lucky is the best example of the latter situation. Accidents just happen and you must be vigilante.
